We understand that there are many contractors out there. Our goal is to make sure that you, as the customer, are treated fairly even if you do not choose Old School Roofing, here is a list of questions you should ask your roofing contractor.

 

Are you insured?

Ask For a copy of their insurance certificate.

Are you A local company?

Make sure your contractor is active in the community. It shows company stability.

Do you have a website?

Helps you validate the company and it’s integrity.

What is your Labor Warranty?

Make your contractor reveal the small print.

How do you dispose of the old roof?

The majority of roofing materials can be recycled. We recycle.

Do you use a dumpster?

Dumpsters can crack and scuff driveways. Dump trailers with wheels will not damage your driveway. We use a dump trailer for a majority of our work. Dumpsters are used on larger projects.

What type of underlayment do you use?

Synthetic Felt should be used on the main roof while using Ice & Water Shield should be used in your valleys, eaves, and low pitched roofs.

What are your disposal and clean up procedures?

Tarps should be used to catch debris and a magnetic roller should be used to retrieve loose nails. A thorough clean-up is imperative to a clean job.

… And finally, do you feel comfortable with your Roofing Contractor?

Make sure you feel comfortable that you can have a business relationship with your Contractor. Do you trust him working on your home? It is probably your biggest investment. Your contractor must be passionate and sincere about beautifying your home.
